Здесь Andrew Murrey выложил фотографии, сделанные в 1909 году в Москве его прапрадедом, приезжавшим в наш город для участия в конских скачках.
Исключительно хорошие снимки.



К снимкам есть и описания (на английском).
Несколько снимков атрибутированы как московские ошибочно, но это так, к слову...

- incorrect inscription. Not the "Moscow Kosaks". "Caucasian jigits (horsemen)" would be all right. I do not think that the photo was taken in Moscow but have no idea where could it be.

- sailing ships haven't been used at Moscow river in 1900s and even earlier.
I guess i's near St. Petersburg.

I believe the Dock Hands were St Petersberg. They refernce a cholera outbreak, they show ships, and they reference off loading the horses.

А почему, когда наводишь мышку на что-нибудь, появляется слово "Вот"? Это типа - "Вот посмотрите!" или "Вот из ит?" (выражаясь английским языком) :)

Шикарные фотографии, конечно. Очень интересное сотрудничество может получится (и опять же практика английского :))
